Built by people who lived the problem
Three people. Seventy years of combined experience in food manufacturing, quality management, regulatory compliance, and enterprise software. We built Littoral because we watched toll manufacturers fail audits that should have been easy to pass.
The intertidal zone
The intertidal zone is where land and sea meet. It is the most productive ecosystem on the coast, and also the most demanding. The organisms that survive there have adapted to constant change, twice-daily extremes, and pressure from both directions at once.
A toll manufacturer lives in the intertidal zone. Pressure from principals demanding quality documentation. Pressure from regulators demanding traceability. Pressure from tariff volatility reshaping the cost of every raw material sourced from Asia. Constant change, twice-daily extremes, and adaptation as the cost of survival.
Littoral exists because the organisms that survive the intertidal zone deserve better tools than a spreadsheet and a three-ring binder.
Three people, no mystery
We do not have a sales team. When you talk to Littoral, you talk to a founder. That is intentional. We want to understand your operation before we ever mention a contract.
Thirty-two years running quality and operations at contract and toll manufacturing facilities. Holds multiple SQF practitioner certifications and has led FDA inspection responses, GFSI audits, and full QMS re-builds from the floor up.
Ricardo is the reason Littoral's quality module is built correctly. Every workflow, every checklist, every audit trail design traces back to how a facility manager actually runs a shift, not how a software architect imagines one does.
Twenty-two years on the principal side of the nutraceutical and specialty ingredient industry, negotiating toll agreements, evaluating contract manufacturers, and watching the same compliance failures repeat across facilities that lacked the tools to avoid them.
Brian built Littoral because he has been on the buying side of every audit failure the platform is designed to prevent.
Full-stack engineer with deep experience in regulated data environments, Azure cloud infrastructure, and API-first application design. Nate owns every line of code and every deployment pipeline in the Littoral platform.
The 1,300-plus automated tests and 39 test suites are his work. The platform runs reliably because he built it to be testable first and fast second.
